Lower Saxony
On behalf of the Waldpädagogikzentrum Harz (Harz Woodland Education Centre) and Niedersächsische Landesforsten (Lower Saxony State Forests), we constructed a root and soil nature path close to Bad Harzburg treetop path. In terms of content, it is the ground-level equivalent of the path high up in the treetops.
The information stations bring the world under the Earth’s surface to life: here, visitors discover everything about
(forest) soil, its function and its inhabitants. A host of interactive elements communicates facts and knowledge about nature in a descriptive and effective way. However, besides learning, there is no shortage of opportunities for fun and games. Younger visitors can climb and play around on themed play equipment, such as an “ant low ropes course” and an “earthworm slalom course”.
