Tourism Concept "Radrunde Allgäu" – Park Benches
As requested by the tourism society "Allgäu GmbH" we produced and installed a total of 20 architecturally designed ‘park benches’ at various locations over the 450km long international cycle track known as the "Radrunde Allgäu".
The modern outdoor furniture invite the cyclists to rest, to relax and to enjoy the scenery at the various chosen locations. The ergonomically designed curved benches provide for a particularly relaxed position. On the rear, an easy to use bike stand has been mounted.
Due to the fact the benches remain outside all year round and therefore exposed to the elements, robust and high-quality materials were used by our workshop team. A massive stone-filled Gabion basket forms the foundation, into which the bench’s high-grade steel substructure is mounted. The Douglas fir timber used for the benches can be dismantled and stored over winter if necessary.
With this particular contract, we were not only responsible for the production and assembly of the benches. We looked after the complete project from start to finish. Because the installation of the benches was mostly undertaken by local contractors throughout Bavaria and Baden Wurttemberg, good coordination with the contractors on site was very important to ensure a timely completion.
