Flying Fox, Silvretta Montafon

By the construction of a Flying Fox in the Vorarlberg skiing area Silvretta in Montafon, we have contributed to the region with a year-round attraction. Prerequisite was; an existing building would provide the starting point, and a cliff face would provide the landing area. That meant it would pass directly over the area of the Ski school. Due to the fixed start and end points and the resulting gradient of the flying fox, we adjusted the speed of the participants by the application of a zipSTOP-brake system to ensure a comfortable and safe landing at the end. At 2100m above sea-level, we had to carefully consider the extreme weather conditions In selecting the materials and the method of construction.
