In the Hirschbachtobel gorge near Bad Hindelang, a nature trail has been created featuring eight interactive stations, making it a varied and engaging experience. Visitors gain vivid insights into the themes of rock, water and ice. A water play table by the torrent, rotating cylinders containing sediments, hands-on fossils and a viewing tube showcasing rock formations bring geology to life.
The implementation posed significant challenges: as the site was only accessible on foot, platforms, foundations and stations were flown in by helicopter and assembled by hand on site. A picnic platform with support legs above the slope also offers a stunning view of Bad Hindelang.
The project demonstrates how Hochkant realises functional and aesthetically coherent solutions even in difficult terrain.
