For the Langwasser district of Nürnberg, hochkant designed a comprehensive, inclusive large-scale play area that focuses on diversity and participation. An 8.5-metre-high climbing tower, long sloping slides, balancing and climbing elements, and a wheelchair obstacle course provide a variety of challenges. The site has been divided into levels and connected by a main route with low barriers. Clear pathways, contrasts and colour codes assist visually impaired children. The prefabricated modules from hochkant’s production facility enabled efficient on-site assembly and a high standard of workmanship.
