Stadtbergen Therapeutic high ropes course
The “Bunter Kreis” Foundation commissioned us to build a very special rope course on the grounds of the new “Ziegelhof” therapy centre in Stadtbergen, near Augsburg. Working closely with therapists, we have designed a facility that is suitable for therapeutic climbing and also facilitates experiential learning activities for wheelchair users.
The high ropes course features a top-rope area with a total of four climbing elements and a wheelchair-accessible zip line with a suspension bridge. Both areas are accessible via a wide access ramp.
When designing the facility, various parameters had to be taken into account, such as step-free transitions, sufficient space for wheelchairs on the platforms, side impact protection profiles and self-closing access doors. We took potential future extensions into account right from the start.
