Laupheim Mobi-Park
Idyllically situated on the banks of a quarry lake, the rope course is a major attraction on the site of a former gravel pit, which is being transformed into a tourism and leisure area close to the city. For this reason, we have designed the facility with a very wide range of visitors in mind.
The climbing facility offers the right challenge for visitors of all ages, from beginners to climbing pros. Those who start from the launch tower and tackle the eight courses with varying levels of difficulty can test their personal limits across a total climbing distance of 1.5 km, featuring around 80 climbing challenges. The climbing heights here vary between three and nine metres. For those seeking a special adrenaline rush, two special features are available: a ‘base jump’ almost 16 metres high and a ‘giant swing’.
A continuous safety system ensures carefree climbing fun, as it is impossible for visitors to become completely unhooked whilst on the climbing routes. Additional safety is provided by an electronic monitoring system, which only grants access to the courses once the participant has correctly attached themselves to the safety system.
True to our motto “Everything from a single source”, we did not just handle the planning and construction for this project. We also carried out the training of the 22 rope course instructors in accordance with the guidelines of the International Association of Rope Courses (IAPA).
