Mikado Adventure Park

Since 2012, colourful Mikado sticks have been towering 15 metres into the sky against the imposing backdrop of the Füssen mountains. They form the supporting structure of an adventure park, which has now been expanded. The facility is integrated into the FOC® Füssen Outlet Centre and offers fun climbing challenges for adults and children alike.
The 10 climbing elements serve both as training exercises and as themed Allgäu eye-catchers: orange cows, yellow sheep, green pigs and a genuine vintage tractor with a bright orange special paint finish attract attention from afar. An Alpine scene made from reclaimed wood also establishes the thematic link to the location. Our task was to bring our client’s specific design ideas to life, both visually and structurally. The structural engineering in particular required our attention, as a tractor, for example, is a very heavy element in terms of weight.
