The climbing forest at Unternberg in Ruhpolding represents a seamless blend of nature and climbing adventure. From concept development and detailed design right through to installation and final safety certification, every stage of the project was carried out by hochkant. The aim was to create an unforgettable climbing experience for visitors and a high-quality facility for the operator.The climbing forest offers two children’s courses at a height of three to four metres for the youngest participants. Six further courses, reaching heights of up to 14 metres, are available for ambitious climbers. The individual climbing challenges have imaginative names, ranging from ‘Crazy Chickens’ and ‘Climbing Chamois’ to ‘Proud Ibex’.An innovative safety system ensures that participants cannot become completely unhooked, guaranteeing maximum safety. Before starting the climbing routes, participants receive comprehensive instruction on a specially designed course. The rope course instructors have also been trained and certified by hochkant. The Ruhpolding Tree Climbing Adventure contributes to the further development of the ‘Meine Bergwelt’ Unternberg summer destination.
