Come on, let's go World tour

At Dortmund’s Westfalenpark, adventurers of all ages can embark on a ‘journey around the world’. This is the theme behind the redesign and modernisation of a playground that was starting to show its age.

The large play structures have imaginative names such as ‘Beach Kingdom’, ‘Wild Forest’, ‘Dwarf Peaks’, ‘Wolf’s Belly’ and ‘Thorn-Capped Mountains’. The sound of these names conjures up images of creative play worlds, which have been brought to life in the form of climbing, swinging and sliding facilities. A “Cunning Maze” and creative seating options are also included.

The designs for the play facilities were created by a landscape architecture firm, whilst the implementation and production planning was handled by the hochkant structural engineers. The on-site construction and installation were also carried out by our construction and assembly team.
