Mattlerbusch Local Park Spaces for interaction with nature

On behalf of the Ruhr Regional Association, hochkant created inclusive play areas, nature-inspired meeting spaces and interactive environmental education stations for three Revierparks. A key focus of the project was the integration of inclusive play and activity elements to enable as wide a target group as possible to participate in play on an equal footing.

The highlight of Mattlerbusch Revierpark is a circular play tower around five metres high, which guarantees great play value for young visitors thanks to its multifunctional features. The structure is also accessible to wheelchair users via a sloping access ramp and a wooden plank path. The range of play and activity options is complemented by, among other things, wooden teepees, two hammocks and a versatile toddler area.

In line with the motto “everything from a single source”, hochkant took care of the entire project implementation, from production planning to the construction of the facilities and on-site installation.
