Redesign of the play area

Working closely with a gardening and landscaping firm, hochkant has completed the redesign of an existing playground. The design principle behind the newly created adventure playground aims to enable children of all abilities to participate. The main focus of the design was on ensuring the inclusive and versatile use of the facility, so that children with and without disabilities can enjoy adventures together. The modular play and motor skills elements have been arranged in a circuit, ensuring a smooth flow of play for many children at the same time. Newly created seating areas ensure a high quality of stay.

As with all hochkant play facilities, the design complies with current safety standards for publicly accessible play facilities. The larch and black locust timber used is robust and can withstand high levels of wear and tear. Screw foundations were primarily used for the base. The project encompassed the entire production process, from the detailed design through to factory planning and the prefabrication of structural elements, right up to on-site assembly.
