In Westfalenpark Langnese Playground
The Langnese playground in Dortmund’s Westfalenpark has undergone a comprehensive redesign that appeals to both children and adults. Originally sponsored by a large corporation, the facility now presents itself as a modern and inclusive play area for children aged two to eight. With 24 varied play elements, including a sand and water play area and intricately designed toy shops, children can let their imaginations run wild.
Particular emphasis has been placed on accessibility: all areas of the playground are accessible via paved paths, and even the suspension bridge has been designed to be wheelchair-accessible – it also serves as a Bobby Car track. Numerous seating areas also create a welcoming environment for accompanying adults, making the playground a meeting place for all generations.
