New at the Allgäu Mountain Farming Museum Kuhnigunden Path

The Kuhnigundenweg in Diepolz, which winds its way around the grounds of the Allgäu Mountain Farming Museum, has undergone a major overhaul. The town of Immenstadt and the Bergwaldoffensive Allgäu, in collaboration with hochkant, have implemented a new concept. Existing installations have been restored and expanded to include interactive stations and themed play areas. Visitors can use a treasure map to answer quiz questions about the ‘Guardian of Nature’s Treasure’ and learn more about the interactions between people and the cultural landscape. If the answer is correct, a mechanism reveals details about the positive interaction between human activity and the cultural landscape. As a reward, visitors can have their treasure map embossed, thereby proving themselves to be true nature experts.
hochkant developed the content on topics such as forests, geology, the cultural landscape and ecology in close consultation with the client. The stations, crafted from weather-resistant oak with HPL panels and movable stainless steel elements, combine durability with interactive learning. They convey the content in a playful way and make the unique features of the Allgäu tangible for all age groups.
