Neckertal Tree Top Walk Interactive stations

The first Swiss treetop walk (Mogelsberg, Switzerland) features numerous environmental education stations designed to help visitors learn about the forest, its inhabitants and the geology of the Swiss Pre-Alps. The 35 stations are located both on and beneath the newly opened treetop walk, in the area known as the ‘Steinwäldli’.

To ensure knowledge is imparted in a sustainable way, almost all stations are equipped with interactive elements, some of which were developed specifically for this project. They spark curiosity and allow visitors to become explorers. At almost every station, there is something exciting to explore, flip, turn, push, smell or hear.

For foreign-language visitors, a summary of the content is available in French, Italian and English for each information board.

To ensure the themes could be authentically realised on site, we placed great emphasis on close collaboration with our client during the design of the stations. The use of durable materials and their careful craftsmanship were also very important to us, as the stations must be built to withstand heavy footfall, particularly in projects with high visitor numbers.
