Nature Trail The Golden Eight
The nature trail, commissioned by the ALPINIUM, comprises a total of 14 themed sections, each featuring individually designed information panels. These highlight the local ecological diversity and relate it to the small-scale farming typical of the region.
Features include numerous sliding, folding and rotating elements, as well as audio stations describing the cattle drive in Standard German and the Obermaiselstein dialect. A photo click box allows visitors to ‘click’ their way through the flora of the mountain hay meadows and explore them in every season. Themed play areas, such as a multifunctional wooden tractor or a wild bee playground, invite younger visitors in particular to embark on a journey of discovery.
True to the motto “everything from a single source”, hochkant realised the nature trail in close collaboration with the Alpinium team, from concept development through planning and construction right through to on-site installation. The content concept, copywriting and graphic design of the information signs were also implemented by hochkant.
