Schömberg Zip Line Forest flight
Our task was to transform a planned 55-metre-high observation tower into a versatile event venue by installing a fly-line and a zip line. Participants begin their
zip-line ride from a platform on the tower at a height of around 45 metres. The flight path takes them over and between the trees towards Schömberg Spa Park, where a landing ramp awaits their arrival. Participants cover a distance of almost 600 metres at a speed of over 50 km/h. Thanks to two parallel steel cables, two participants can take to the course at the same time – lying headfirst in a special harness.
To ensure the Flying Fox rollers, including safety equipment, could be transported back to the starting point undamaged, we developed special transport trolleys. These trolleys can be rolled directly from the shuttle vehicle into the tower lift.
hochkant was involved in the project from the outset, as the integration of the event elements and their design had to be taken into account in the overall planning of the tower. The planning and construction of the zip-line systems, as well as the certified training of the operating staff, were also part of the contract.
