Allgäu Treehouse Hotel The country bumpkin

The tree houses and stilt houses at the “Baumhaushotel Allgäu” in Betzigau are a real success story in the tourism sector. Demand for a comfortable holiday in the countryside is so high that the family running the hotel has now expanded its accommodation offering to include four more “Landeier”.
The stilt houses are comfortably equipped with a fitted kitchen, dishwasher and fully-fitted bathroom, and can comfortably accommodate up to four people. The spacious kitchen-diner features a panoramic window that extends almost to the ceiling, creating a direct connection between nature and the interior.
The central elements of the tree-house experience are the spacious terraces at a height of almost four metres and additional balconies at around eight metres. The terraces form the actual connection to the trees, as the tree trunks have been integrated directly into the wooden decking. Here, guests find themselves in the canopy of the trees.
Both houses meet the high requirements of the currently applicable Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV), which presented a particular challenge given the curved walls. To optimise assembly and erection times, both houses were prefabricated using a modular construction method and only assembled on site.
The location of the houses was chosen so that they blend harmoniously into the small wooded area near the farmstead. Care was also taken during the planning of the spacious wooden terraces to ensure that the trees already present on site could be integrated into the structure.
